CONVENTION CENTRE DUBLIN

WIPM Summit 2024 will be taking place on 7th March at the Convention Centre Dublin.

The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) was developed to provide a world-class conference venue in the heart of Ireland’s capital city. It’s located in Dublin’s Docklands, within the finance and technology hub of the city.

Thanks to its central location in Dublin, the CCD is easy to reach by car, bus or train. Approximately 25 minutes from the airport and close to major reference points in the city such as the River Liffey, O’Connell Street and CHQ, making your way to the centre should be hassle free.

By Air

Dublin is highly accessible for delegates travelling from the UK, Europe, the US, and beyond. Dublin Airport is just 25 minutes from the Convention Centre Dublin via the Port Tunnel. Dublin Airport facilitates direct flights to all major UK and European cities and daily flights to the Emirates and several North American cities.

Alternatively, several buses connect the airport to Dublin city centre. The Airlink Express will take you to the nearby Docklands and IFSC stops, or you can get on Aircoach service 700 which will transport you to O’Connell Street, within minutes’ walk of the venue.

Useful Links:

By Car

The Convention Centre Dublin is just minutes away from Ireland’s M50 motorway network and Dublin’s Port Tunnel, making it easy to bring in supplies and equipment for your event. It is also next to the Samuel Beckett Bridge which spans the River Liffey, aiding access between the North and South of the city.

The CCD has its own 320-capacity underground car park, with over 2,000 spaces located in car parks nearby, as well as considerable on street ‘pay and display’ parking on North Wall Quay and adjoining roads.

By Rail, Tram or Bus

The Convention Centre Dublin can be accessed via a growing network of public transport options. The CCD is less than 10 minutes on the Luas Red Line from Dublin’s two main railway stations, Connolly and Heuston. The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) rail network runs along the coast of Dublin, from Malahide and Howth, to Bray and Graystones, providing transport from the city centre to suburban areas. Connolly, Pearse Street and Tara Street DART stations are all located about 10 minutes’ walk from The CCD.

Tram (Luas)

Luas is Dublin’s light rail transit system. There are two lines, the Green Line and the Red Line. The CCD is on the Red Line, conveniently linking to downtown Dublin and Connolly and Heuston rail stations. Major Square and Spencer Dock are the closest stops. Switch between the Red and Green lines at Abbey Street / O’Connell – GPO / Marlborough stops.

Bus

Dublin Bus offers an easy-to-use, accessible service across all of the city centre and surrounding areas. Exact change, weekly tickets or top up Leapcards must be used. You can find more information on fares and tickets here.

Busáras is the central bus station in Dublin for intercity and regional bus services operated by Bus Éireann. Busáras is just 5 minutes from The CCD on the Luas Red Line and is located beside Connolly railway station.
